MASTELO KATSIKI
Authentic low fat taste. White, soft cheese without skin, great in sandwiches, vegetables or all kinds of fresh salads. Katsikaki Mastelo® is light, low fat, thus popular among those who are on a diet. It is made from pasteurized, whole goat milk of small mammals that live in the mountains of Chios. The natural flora of Chios gives taste characteristics to the milk that pass into the final product. Mastelo® is the brand name of the cheese (first made in 1994 by K. Toumazos in Chios) and not its type.
